Alley Creek features 67 spacious campsites, ranging from more primitive tent sites to full-hookup RV sites. There is also a large group campsite that can accommodate up to 50 guests. A boat ramp and playground are provided, and most of the campsites offer sweeping views of the lake. |

Lake O' the Pines includes about 18,700 acres of water and 9,000 acres of land, encompassing an area so large it spans five counties. The lake was created by the construction of the Ferrell's Bridge Dam on the Big Cypress Bayou. The reservoir was originally created as part of an overall plan for flood control in the Red River Basin below Denison Dam in Oklahoma, and has now become a recreational oasis for outdoor enthusiasts. |

Temperate climates make boating, fishing, hunting and wildlife viewing popular year-round. Lake O' the Pines fishing includes largemouth, smallmouth and hybrid bass along with crappie, sunfish and catfish. In addition to boat fishing there are areas for bank fishing along the shore and below the dam along Big Cypress Bayou. The surrounding 4,500 acres of federally owned property includes excellent hunting opportunities. In addition, the lake surface provides some of the best waterfowl hunting in East Texas. |
